Thank you for the reminder of the gold that was always apparent in your parents’ lives. I lost track of them after they moved from Nashville so I didn’t know them as their health declined but the gold in each of them is always there in my memory.
Thank you so much, Joyce. It's rare these days to connect with people who knew my parents well, and it's such a gift. They both were such radiant beings. Enormous gifts in my life yet also for countless others! Thank you for reading and staying connected here.
Thank you so much Alan… i saw the cracks in my broken vases.. the cracks in my life, my mother in her golden years, my body… so inspiring.. and I see the light of you shining through the cracks, and behind it your parents… what a bless.. what a light… thank you for who you are….
Wow, Alan, this is such a powerful image. Thank you. I took a class once in kintsugi. Not being much of an artist, or apparently not having much patience that day, I put the final glue touches on my bowl, and the whole thing broke apart. The instructor took pity on me and came over and fixed it. Not sure what my lesson was - maybe that when you can't fix the broken things, it's OK to reach out for help.
Beautiful perspective 🙏🏻
Thank you, Leigh.

This touched me deeply, Alan – I sensed the gold pouring through, like light in my own heart, starting with the mysterious sage's wisdom. Thank you.
Thank you, Cate, for this beautiful response.
This is beautiful, Alan. Thanks for always sharing your gold with us!
So subtly beautiful written. Thank you Alan
Thank you so much, Tuutje.

Thank you so much, Lidwien. I'm glad to know this essay spoke to you so beautifully.
Our lives truly are and turn out to be, what we ourselves commit them to be and mean. So why not celebrate ourselves more?
Wonderfully said, Jethro. Thank you!
Thank you Alan.
